“I have suffered from fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome since 2001. Living with chronic illness has caused me to also suffer from depression and anxiety, which also makes my day-to-day living increasingly difficult. I’m currently on medication for the chronic widespread pain as well as anti-anxiety and depression medication. It has been a long journey for me these past 17 years.

My list of medications is long. For the pain associated with fibromyalgia, Dilaudid is what gives me relief. I take Diazepam and Pristiq to manage my mental health symptoms. I have Allwell insurance, and my medications are currently covered under Arizona Complete Health. But their drug plan changes yearly, so I often fear that my medications suddenly won’t be covered. I need all of these medications in order to live an active, healthy lifestyle.”
